A new release for spring (remember that?!)
Wow it's a cold one isn't it! But we've got the taste of summer here in a bottle just to remind you what's round the corner...
Our new Gladstone Vineyard Rosé 2009 has just been released and is available now at cellar door.
It's a cracker! The taste of summer with strawberry, raspberry, ripe red capsicum and crisp apple on the nose. A soft sweet rich, creamy mid palate with good acidity gives the wine good length on the finish.
But don't wait for the summer sun to try it - come and persuade Zane to cook you some of his wonderful mushrooms and enjoy the Rosé with them!
The last of a double gold medal winning Pinot Noir
Gladstone Vineyard Pinot Noir 2006 is a double gold medal winning wine - it was the only New Zealand Pinot to win a gold medal in the prestigious Mondial du Pinot Noir in Switzerland in 2007 which was then followed up with a gold medal at the Royal Easter Show in 2008.
Showing the very special characteristics of Wairarapa Pinot Noir, this is a completely delicious wine, full of smoky, dark berry fruits and spiced cherries backed by a long savoury finish.
At only $39 a bottle it is a bargain. But there are ONLY 3 CASES LEFT. (It's like grab a seat isn't it!)
Call in at cellar door, call us on 06 379 8563 or email us to secure a last few bottles of this fantastic wine.
Talking of Grab-a-Seat, it's all happening in the Wairarapa!
Well done Ladyhawke! Another wonderful artist from the Wairarapa...
The Wairarapa is a great spot, full of hidden talent, fabulous people and places (not to mention world class wines). And Air New Zealand joined in the accolades being awarded to Masterton's own Ladyhawke today by selling Masterton - Auckland flights on Grab-a-Seat. That shows what a happening place the Wairarapa is!
We'll continue to celebrate her win here at Gladstone Vineyard this weekend by giving anyone who brings in this newsletter a glass of Gladstone Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc on us. That goes for you too Pip! Congratulations from us all.
